Final products and feedback

Responses to Audience feedback for the podcast

This is one of the responses I got for the podcast. This response is about the positive side of the podcast. This response made me glad that I added certain features to the podcast and I'm glad that they enjoyed the type of style the podcast was edited in.

The second answer to this question is about how they like my editing. I don't know what part of editing they like but I assume that it is all of the different features I have added to the podcast to make it more entertaining.

I think this answer means that there must be some pauses that really stand out after the presenter reads out the question. If this is the case I will go back and edit the clips that have this issue and make sure everything flows better and there are no real visible pauses.

I feel like this answer is about keeping some clips that are not about the podcast. I will remove these as I want the podcast to be about health and fitness.

Making changes based on feedback for the podcast

Seeing what needed to be changed

The first thing I did while editing the changes for the podcast was looked through my 'google forms' and see what exactly needed to be changed. I went through the full podcast first and realised what needed to be removed to make these changes possible. I also realised that the feedback was correct as some of the footage that I kept in was not relevant and would flow and look better if it was removed. I also realised that I could watch both of the podcasts and I would be able to realise the changes.

Cutting between each question

The first change I made was cutting between each question. I did this by removing clips that were not about the question to make the answer flow better and to make sure the audience understood the answers to the question. This also made the podcast sound and look professional as there wouldn't be any parts that were off-topic which could confuse the audience in what they were answering and what questions they were answering. I did this for all of the questions that were relevant and needed to be changed.

Adding pop-up text

After I got all of the parts I don't need out of the podcast I was able to aline all of the titles that had been moved and put them back in the correct places. I only added this pop-up text as most of the original titles were staying as I did not need to change them. The feedback did not mention adding this pop-up text but I wanted to add it in as someone said that they like the text that comes on screen. The only type of text that I removed was irrelevant and was not related to the podcast.

Adding background music and changing the volume

As I was making the changes I removed the music to make sure that I did not mistakenly cut the music clips from the podcast clips. Once I got all of the podcast and text clips in the right place after watching the podcast again I added in music. The music was the same as before but the volume was lowered as I did not know how loud it was before. But that did not matter as I wanted the music to just be a background and I did not mind if you could hear it as loud as before or not.

Adding in thank you for listening text

I decided to add an appreciation text at the end of the podcast. This is because I wanted people who have either listened to the podcast or have watched it to know that I am grateful as this might of helped them to get motivated to work out and start to look after their health. This also makes the audience realise that this podcast wouldn't have happened if we did not get any questions to answer if it was not for them sending them in.

This was not in the feedback but I thought that it would be nice to include this in the final edit of the podcast.

Adding in the NHS Better health campaign poster at the end

In the first draft of the podcast, I forgot to add this to the edit as I did not know if it was needed as it was a podcast. I realised that this would be important for viewers who are watching the podcast as they might want to find out more information about NHS and their Better health campaign and their previous campaigns that have been made in previous years.

Going through the podcast to make sure I have made the changes.

After I made the necessary changes I had google forms open and made sure I added in the changes from my feedback. This was to make sure I have added them into the final edit. If I forgot to add one of the feedback changes I would have added them to the edit.

The final product for the podcast

This is my final product for the NHS better health podcast. In this final edit, I have listened to my feedback from my google forms. When I was making the changes based on the feedback I realised that I should have done this before and the whole podcast flows way better and was on track. I realised that there was nothing in the podcast anymore that would have distracted or gone off the answer to that question. I think this feedback was relevant and helpful.

Responses to audience feedback for TV advertisement

For the first response, I got a comment about how they liked the way I edited the TV advert. The type of transition cards I used was a gaming style. I used these types because I knew that our actor in the TV advert was portraying a gamer, so these transition cards linked in and fitted the overall vibe of the TV advert and I am glad that people enjoyed and liked the cards.

The transitions I added were throughout the full TV advert in certain parts because I did not want to over-add transitions as the message is important and I do not want anything to take that message away. I put in most of the transition when I added in the montages of TikTok dances. This is because there were different dances that they were doing and I wanted to add transitions so then there was no follow-on constantly.

My overall aim was for the TV advert to flow and to be entertaining to show that exercise can be fun. I am glad that I succeeded in doing this and that it was a good idea. I knew that the energy created in the podcast was going to be fun and enjoyable as they are doing TikTok dances for exercise.

This response is talking about how some of the clips look. I cannot recall seeing this when I was re-watching the TV advert myself. I don't really know how this would have happened and I don't know if it was from it being uploaded to YouTube that created this or any issues that happened in the editing process. I will go back and see which clips and how many there are that have this issue when going back through by watching it on YouTube and watching it in the editing software.

This response relates to the previous question. As I am unsure if this is from the same person or not it's hard to tell if more than one person has seen this issue. As this response has come up twice I am going to assume that more than one person has seen and said this. This means that it is an occurring issue that needs to be looked at and needs to be fixed.

Making changes based on feedback for the TV advertisement

Changing the resolution of my video when being exported

My only feedback was that my TV advertisement was blurry in some scenes. I did not realise this was the case as I did not think it would have been because I was using the same resolution I've always been using when exporting the TV advertisement. I found out that this was not the case as it had been changed. I look at the resolution for my "NHS Better health podcast" and changed it to the same resolution, as the podcast was not blurry. After comparing both of the TV advertisements I realised that this was correct and needed to be changed.

Even though this was the only feedback I got I also changed the volume of the TikTok dances. This was because there was copyrighted music as it is TikTok music and the only way I could have it was by making the background music louder. As I did not want this as it would clearly show, I added some YouTube audio library music over the TikTok clips that were upbeat and motivational.

The final product for the TV advertisement

This is the final product of my NHS better health TV advertisement. In the final edit, I listened to what my audience's feedback said and improved the quality of the TV advert. I realised when I was watching the TV advert on YouTube that the whole video was blurry and was not in focus. After making these changes it was a lot more clear and more in focus. Overall I am happy with how it has turned out.
