Pre-production: Logistical Elements

Resource list

These are all of the resources we will need and use to film or prepare for our production. The equipment we will be using will either be from one of us that already owns one, or we can borrow the items example cameras, tripods, and other filming equipment from the college with their permission. This list would help us understand what equipment we need to borrow and which equipment one of us already owns.

Personnel list

This is the personnel list, and this is where we have the names of people, the roles that they are doing, and their contact information. This makes it helpful and easier on the day of filming. This is because we will know who we need where and we can see which roles people are doing to make the filming process go well, as everything is organized.

Contributor release forms

These are the forms for people who are involved in the filming production and they have signed the forms knowing about the different ways people can use this production and information now and in the future. We needed these forms so people who are involved in our project know that they could be on camera and agree to be on camera. They also know that they agree that the final project would be on a platform such as YouTube where people could see the project via a link or it being public.

 Location Release

Once we have all our equipment it would make it easier to use the environment we are filming and know what the best angles are, do we need to create or edit any sound effects, and where about should we set up the tripod and camera for the best shot of the person or environment.
This is where we are going to film some parts of our production. We have two different locations where we are going to film different scenes. These locations are perfect for what we are going to film and put together in the edit.

For the days I am going to shoot external footage, on Monday the 5th and Wednesday the 7th, there is a low chance of it raining between 9am-3pm. However, if this is the case, I will make sure to focus my attention on the podcast as that is all internal footage. In addition, on Friday the 9th, there is no chance of there being rain therefore I do not need to severely alter my plans unless this fact changes closer to the day. If this is the case, I can just work on internal footage for the TV Advert or the podcast.

The type of weather we could be filming in is unpredictable as it could change even when we look at the weather before. But this could have a positive impact as it can show our audience that you can exercise in any weather as long as it is safe.

Location for podcast

This is the location where we are going to film the podcast. This is the 'Creative Media production room at Sunderland college Bede'.

On the left, there is a sofa where the camera would be pointing to the presenters and that would be the main shot. There is a computer on the right next to the door where we can log in and use Adobe audition to edit the clips we already have to see if they line up and flow smoothly. There is enough floor space to set up lights, and cameras on tripods which is good for different angles and shots.

This is the best place to film our podcast as we have a 'focus point' where the presenters would be talking through the answers to questions and giving people advice on certain topics.

We needed 'location release forms' as this made sure that we got permission to film in these locations. For the location for the podcast, we asked our lecturers if we could use this location and they agreed. We showed that we got permission in these forms, and made sure that this room was not booked out by anyone in our class.

Location 1 for TV advertisement
One of our locations for our TV advertisement is Barns Park which is a 5-minute walk away from the college. This is the perfect location for what we are going to create, as some people would exercise in their local park. This also gives us a lot of space to work with which is good as this help with different shots and different setting we are going to create.

This could be one part of Barns' park we could film at.

Location 2 for TV advertisement
For the second location for the TV advertisement, we are using one of our actor's houses. This is because we are getting an unmotivated gamer into fitness, and the first scene is the gamer watching YouTube and then going onto TikTok. This creates the mood from the start about what their life is like and what kind of state their room is in.

All of these locations are good choices for what we are creating as it can show that you can do exercise locally and you can find inspiration in your house which can make you do homework outs or go outside to do your exercises.

We made location release forms to film in here as this is a free park.

Shooting Schedule

Monday:

Morning- Paperwork (analysis of what I have done so far)

Afternoon- Podcast (record, edit or prepare)

Tuesday:

Morning- Podcast (record, edit or prepare)

Afternoon- Edit TV Advert or Paperwork

Wednesday:

Morning- Edit TV Advert (non-compulsory)

Afternoon- Edit TV Advert/paperwork

Friday:

Morning- Paperwork

This is our shooting schedule and what we are going to do throughout the week. As you can see we have different activities in the morning and afternoon on most days. This structure is helpful as it tells us all what we need to focus on these days and times, but it also makes sure that we are getting every activity done whether it is compulsory or non - compulsory.

Risk assessment
Video Advertisement

This is the risk assessment for our video advertisement. This risk assessment outlines any potential hazard, risk, or harm that could happen to anyone while filming or recording. We are filming in two different places Barns Park and one of our actor's homes. There could be different potential hazards that could happen in either place and there can be the same. For filming in Barns park there would be many different risks as it is a public park which means that there can be people interrupting our shots.

Communication

As we had loads of people involved in this project to get different shots and different activities we needed to have a group chat. We made this group chat and included everyone who is involved. We made this group chat on Facebook Messenger. We included the times, meeting place, and what we were going to do, in the chats.
