Pre-Production: Creative Elements
Creative ideas for advertisement
The 'storyboard' is helpful for our TV advertisement. This is because we can see what is going to happen in each scene. Planning out what scene is going to have this type of activity and we can see what type of shots we are going to need when we are filming. Overall I think doing a TV advertisement is a perfect idea as people can see what type of activities they can do for exercise and it is not full on, it is more fun which would make you forget that you are doing exercise.
For the podcast, the script planning is perfect as we can see what we are going to answer and give advice too.
Storyboard for TV advertisement
This is our storyboard for the NHS Better health campaign related to 'getting active'. This storyboard has 9 scenes which include the introduction and outro. We have put what type of shot that scene is going to be and what the person is doing throughout these scenes.
This TV advertisement gives them the realization that they need to be more motivated and active and this is how they are starting their journey:
This starts off as a person watching YouTube videos in a messy gamer's bedroom. This person is not motivated into doing physical activities but they then start to see a change in feed on their TikTok. They then start to get influenced and motivated by these TikTok and they start to try them out for themself, and they are becoming active in a fun way.
Using this storyboard we are going to film a representation of what this would look like, this can also help our audience as they might be able to relate to different key points of this TV advertisement.
This would also help our actors know where they need to be positioned for the different scenes. This would also give them a representation of where we are going to film, and what kind of setting they are going to have around them. Which can help with the mood that they are creating.
Script for TV advertisement
Overview
Here is our script and this has all of the scenes that are going to happen. We have all of the actors with the actions and lines they are going to say and do. We also have all of the scenarios and what gets them from being inactive and then them becoming active. We see their journey and how much better they feel even though it was hard for them at the beginning and early days of changing their lifestyle.
We see in the script and storyboard that they struggle with getting motivated and getting active. From boredom, they go onto TikTok and come across a fun getting active account and they start their journey for a better healthy life.

Scene headings
For the headings of the script, we have put in it is 'INT' or 'EXT'' and this tells us if it is interior or exterior and this depends on where the scene is being filmed.
the first scene is 'INT' in a gaming room (as the actor is a gamer) during the daytime. This little amount of description can be useful as we know what type of environment we are going to film in and what time of the day, and we also know that it is an interior scene.
Underneath these headings, we have a description of a teenager who is a gamer. We see that they are inactive and don't do much or any exercise throughout the weeks. We get to learn what they do during the day and it is the same routine which is unhealthy as it does not make them motivated or healthy. We then see after finding a fun exercise account that there is another actor who helps the gamer get into exercise and change their routine healthily and positively.
